Jaime King is entering her second divorce.
Her husband, Austin Sosa, officially filed for divorce on Thursday, January 22nd, according to court documents. The brief and secret marriage between the actress and banker is coming to an end.

Separation from Austin Sosa
King and Sosa’s entire relationship seemed to be in the shadows.
They got engaged in July 2025, with King briefly mentioning the engagement on an episode of Juicy Scoop with Heather McDonald, saying the pair “met through mutual friends.”
However, it’s unclear when the couple married, as many didn’t even know they were hitched. The secrecy continues with no date of separation either.
All these dates should appear in time, revealing how brief the marriage actually was.
Fortunately, King and Sosa never had any kids together, so they won’t have to work through child custody or support issues, as King had to in her first marriage.
Connections with Sosa’s Family
During the time of the engagement, everything was good. People magazine reported the exciting news, with King’s rep reporting the actress was “grateful” for her fans’ support.
She was “especially happy to share this moment with her children, who have a loving bond with Austin and his family. As always, her sons remain her top priority, and she kindly asks for privacy as they move forward with love and gratitude.”
King even had a good relationship with Sosa’s parents and family, as she “was staying with his parents after she moved out of her Los Angeles apartment earlier this year,” according to a source.
Rumors Circling Vikram Chatwal
So, what happened? The reason for the divorce is not clear, but it arrived just a few weeks after reports were linking King to another man. Hotel owner Vikram Chatwal had been seen with King several times.
However, King denied she was seeing Chatwal; their hangouts were purely about business. Unfortunately for King, Sosa pulled the plug on her current marriage.
First Marriage Split
This isn’t King’s first rodeo.
The actress was previously married to Kyle Newman, who married in 2007. King later filed for divorce from Newman in May 2020. The divorce was long and messy, finally ending in September 2023.
Later, in March 2025, Newman was granted sole physical custody of their sons, Leo, 10, and James, 12. While Newman and King share legal custody, Newman was granted the tie-breaking authority over legal custody and has sole physical custody.
