Kelley Wolf is no longer facing charges of allegedly violating a protective order filed by estranged husband, Scott Wolf.
The latest in the Wolf court drama, the hearing date is inching closer for the pair.
Protective Order Violation Dismissed
On January 27th, a Utah judge granted a motion from the Summit County District Attorney’s Office to dismiss the case without prejudice “as part of a global resolution” with a separate case against Kelley for alleged harassment of her spouse, according to People.
Last August, Kelley was charged with one count of misdemeanor electronic communication harassment and two counts of misdemeanor electronic disclosure of personal identifying information.
While a hearing in the case was scheduled for January 27th, it has since been delayed six months until July 28th.
Kelley’s attorney, Mark Moffat, requested the extension, using her cooperation as a way for both sides to reach a “global resolution of all cases.”
The dismissal also comes one month after Scott’s request to drop the restraining order was granted.
Announcing the Divorce
On June 9th, 2025, Scott Wolf filed for divorce.
Along with filing, Scott provided a statement to People, saying: “After 21 years of marriage, I have made the most difficult decision of my life, and filed for divorce from my wife Kelley. Our children have always been, and continue to be, the loves of our lives and our every priority, so I kindly ask for privacy at this time as we help guide them through this new chapter.”
Kelley also provided a statement, hers through Instagram. She wrote: “It is with a heavy heart that Scott and I are moving forward with the dissolution of our marriage. This has been a long, quiet journey for me — rooted in hope, patience, and care for our children. While I will not speak publicly about the details, I feel peace knowing that I’ve done everything I can to walk this path with integrity and compassion.”
Kelley’s Legal Troubles
Not long after the divorce filing, Kelley’s legal troubles began.
On June 13th, Kelley streamed on Instagram Live her getting handcuffed and detained by sheriff’s deputies in Utah County. This happened after a concerned friend contacted the authorities about Kelley’s well-being. She was brought to a hospital and placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold.
On June 25th, Scott filed a restraining order, but later withdrew the petition when he was granted temporary sole custody of their three children: Jackson (16), Miller (12), and Lucy (11).
In late August, Kelley was arrested on suspicion of electronic communication harassment and electronic disclosure of personal identifying information (Scott’s contact information). She was released from jail on August 28th, facing a new restraining order from Scott.
The estranged husband finally spoke out about the split that same month. Scott told People he was compelled to after Kelley made “deeply disturbing and entirely false allegations” against him.”
Kelley drew back on her allegations, stating, “I will be very clear when I say this: I don’t believe that Scott would [abuse our children]. I’ve lost my career, my reputation, my children, my integrity, my honor, my devotion to my marriage…”
Just a week later, Kelley was charged with another misdemeanor. This one was for violating the restraining order by trying to reach son Miller through another child and calling Scott through “a friend’s phone.”
Mental Health Trips
In September, Kelley was admitted to a Utah mental health hospital after allegedly making threats to Scott and herself. She was later placed on a 60-day involuntary hold.
“She is currently being held against her will as she was deemed a danger to herself and others,” a source revealed to People. “Right now, [it’s important] to stabilize her mood with medication. But she is okay.”
Kelley missed a court appearance in late September due to being in the facility.
In mid-October, Kelley was transferred from the Utah-based hospital to a different mental health facility to continue her treatment.
Since the transfer was on Kelley’s 49th birthday, Scott acknowledged the important date with a post on Instagram. He wrote, “Happy birthday to you 🎂❤️🩹,” alongside an older photo of Kelley.
Scott Looking to the Future
Scott later posted on Instagram on January 1st, detailing the rollercoaster of 2025. The carousel of pictures started with a photo of a dumpster fire.
“2025 Recap. Grateful for the hardest year of my life,” he wrote. “The curriculum was brutal for those I love most. There was suffering, learning, growing, loving, laughing, crying. Mostly learning and growing.”
He finished the post by saying, “In other words, life. … we passed. I love my people more than ever. I love people more than ever… [love] my work more than ever. So the hardest year brought the most love. Life indeed. Wishing you all a 2026 full of love.”
