Bianca Censori Says She Nearly Walked Away From Kanye West More Than Once

Bianca Censori is revealing a lot more than just her body.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, the architect talked about her relationship with Kanye West, how it budded into marriage, weathering the backlash against her husband, and looking to the future between them.

Where it All Began

Censori and West’s relationship began in 2021, when he was still married to Kim Kardashian.

West first reached out through his general manager to Censori, contracting her as the head of architecture for his Yeezy brand. West noticed her Instagram posts and was intrigued in more ways than one.

Their romance developed not long after they met, and continued during the time Kim filed for divorce in February 2021.

Budding Relationship

Instead of many Hollywood romances that are signified by whirlwind affairs that quickly die out, Censori tells Vanity Fair their relationship was different.

Since the pair were working together in proximity, whether it was long hours together at Yeezy, phone calls, etc. they quickly got to know each other. That connection turned into something more.

“Just working together,” Censori said. “You’re spending so much time with somebody. So we’d be either on the phone together or with each other all the time.” She added, “We’re so similar.”

When rumors popped up that the love was just a way for Censori to get a bigger status, she assured everyone their love was genuine.

“I didn’t marry my husband because I wanted some sort of platform. I married him because I love him. Is that like the corniest thing ever?”

West and Censori tied the knot in December 2022, in a private ceremony in Palo Alto, California.

Weathering Bumps in the Road

Along with revealing their relationship timeline, Censori also brought up the struggles she dealt with concerning West’s mental health and bipolar disorder.

“All I can do is always just be there and help,” she said through tears. “This year was a lot like doing CPR for months.”

The architect decided to weather the storm with her husband as they navigated his bipolar diagnosis, the fallout from his antisemitic comments, and the personal comments he publicly made about their relationship.

“I have the love and empathy for him to be able to do that. And I understand that the world doesn’t.”

Though, there was one point where Censori considered leaving when “surface level” feelings appeared. However, she decided to stay through thick and thin, and support him in his next chapter.

“You know, he has to go through his process in how he amends that. And I’m here to support and love and be with him. I love him so much. We’re like the same person.”

Future Dreams & Her Body, Her Choice

When it comes to the pair’s future, Censori has some dreams.

She has mentioned wanting to have children with West, who already has four kids with Kim. Until that point, Censori prizes the time she has watching West be a dad to his children. “He’s a really awesome dad,” she added.

One thing she also wants to make clear?

Her headline-grabbing and somewhat shocking looks? That’s all her, not West pulling the strings in the background. Her body, her rules.
