Kim Kardashian is showering praise on her sister’s podcast.
During the second part of her interview with Khloé Kardashian on the Khloé in Wonder Land podcast, Kim was asked to spill the tea on a teenage encounter she had with JungleFever actor Wesley Snipes.
Not only does she recount the event, but gives a shout-out to Snipes for his gentle yet firm push when she was 17 years old.
Encounter with Snipes
Kim Kardashian started her story with, “Wesley Snipes saved my life. And he doesn’t know this story. He has no clue who I was.”
When she was 17, Kim went to New York City with friends, spending a night out on the town. She and her friends ended up at a nightclub, and everyone agreed to go back to the friend’s house for a party.
Then Kim said, “So my friend Sarah Howard wrote on my hand her dad’s address and was like, ‘If we lose each other, this is the address.’ [There were] no cell phones.”
Howard also gave Kim $20 if she needed it later in the night for a cab. Tucking it into her bra strap since she didn’t have a purse, Kim made it to the house party, but couldn’t find her friends when it was time to leave.
She told Khloé there was “no one to be found” at 5 a.m., and she somehow had lost the $20 bill during the night. All she had was the address her friend gave her.
“How am I going to do this?” she thought.
“I’m walking out — and I don’t know if Wesley Snipes lived in the building or what, but he was there,” Kim continued.
“We were passing each other, and I was like, ‘Hi, sir. I’m so sorry, but…do you think you can give me a ride home?'”
Kim Getting “Schooled”
Snipes, who is now 63 years old, agreed to take Kim with him.
However, there was one contingency. They needed to stop for breakfast first, especially given how early it was.
“I was probably terrified,” Kim said. On the plus side, Snipes wasn’t giving her any kind of “creepy vibes.” All she wanted to do was get home safe and sound.
At breakfast, Snipes changed from driver to concerned adult, “schooling [her] like he’s [her] father.” “I don’t know how old you are, but you’re too young to be out this late,” Kim recalled Snipes explaining to her.
“You’re too young to be at parties, if there was a house party there or whatever. … You shouldn’t be out at the clubs. I’m going to take you home, and I never want to see you out at these things until you’re old enough,” he concluded.
“And I’ve never seen him again,” Kim said. “He saved my life. He schooled the s**t out of me.”
Kim hoped that one day she would cross paths with the actor again and tell him she was the “teenage girl in New York that you took to a cafe.” It has yet to happen, though.
She finished off the story by saying, “Shout out to Wesley Snipes. I hope this message gets to you that you are a lifesaver!”
Perhaps with her coming forward, Snipes and Kardashian may finally be able to reconnect.
