Of Queen Elizabeth’s eight grandchildren, Peter Phillips became the first of them to remarry on June 6, 2026, with his marriage to Harriet Sperling.
Peter was married to Autumn Kelley, while Harriet was married to Antonio St. John Sperling. Both members of the couple have children from their previous marriages who were seen at the wedding. Savannah and Isla are Peter’s daughters, and Georgia is Harriet’s daughter. The girls reportedly have a close bond, according to Hello!
While Peter is the first of his generation to remarry, four out of five of Queen Elizabeth’s children remarried, including Peter’s parents, Princess Anne and Mark Phillips, and the current King and Queen.
King Charles and Queen Camilla married in 2005, after King Charles and Princess Diana divorced in 1996. Their marriage was an intimate ceremony–similar to Peter and Harriet’s marriage–with only 28 guests in attendance. Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip were notably absent from the event. Due to her position as head of the Church, Elizabeth decided it would be inappropriate to attend the wedding of two divorced individuals, per People.

According to Hello!, Prince Phillip is often referred to as the late Queen Elizabeth’s “favorite grandson.” Phillips has often described his close relationship with his grandmother, while she reportedly admired his “down-to-earth nature and steadfast approach to life.”
This ceremony was the first major royal wedding to take place after the Queen’s passing in 2022. The wedding featured close members of each family in a private ceremony at All Saints Church in Kemble.

According to People, Royal guests included King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton, Prince Edward and Sophie, Princess Anne and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, and Peter’s sister and brother-in-law, Zara and Mike Tindall.
Several family members were reportedly left off the guest list, including Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, the former Prince Andrew, and Sarah Ferguson.
