Gisele Bündchen may be happily remarried with a child, but her family is “not happy” about the nuptials.
They are worried about her decision to marry “penniless” jiu-jitsu instructor, Joaquim Valente, fearing she went into the match without thinking about her fortune. Learn more below.

Family is big for Gisele, especially her father Vladir, and her five sisters Raquel, Graziela, Gabriela, Rafaela, and Patricia. Her mother unfortunately passed away in January 2024 after battling cancer.
In May 2023, Gisele told People that, “My family is everything to me and my sisters are my best friends even if sometimes we disagree.”
Though her family is currently not too impressed with Gisele’s decisions.

Marriage and a Child
When Gisele realized she was pregnant, things changed.
“Her family told her to just live with him,” the source said. “But between Valente’s pressure and her being a traditionalist, she felt since they have a child, they might as well marry.”
They welcomed their son in February 2025, whose middle name is River. Ten months after his birth, the pair married in a quiet ceremony in November 2025.
