Todd Bridges and his wife, Bettijo B. Hirschi, have officially announced their separation. The pair spent a little over three years married, and are now in the midst of a divorce.

The Split
In an interview with PEOPLE, Bridges stated, “After much prayer and reflection, my spouse and I have made the difficult decision to separate. This was not an easy choice, and it comes with a heavy heart, but also with love and gratitude for the life we shared.”
Bridges goes on to say, “I thank God for the time we’ve had together, the lessons we’ve learned, and the family we’ve built. Even in this season of change, I trust He is guiding us both toward healing, peace, and new beginnings.”
The couple has asked for privacy during their separation to ease the transition. Bridges also wishes Hirschi receives “joy and fulfillment” in her future life.
The pair is full of love and respect for each other, even during the separation.
Falling in Love
The couple first met in January 2022. Hirschi’s friend set up a dating profile for her, showing it to Bridges for “market research.” The pair quickly hit it off, and six months after they met, Bridges proposed.
Just three months after that (nine months after they met), the couple tied the knot in September 2022 in a subdued ceremony in Beverly Hills with around 40 attendees.
The pair had a happy three years, until the split now.
Bridges Other Marriage
This was not Bridges’ first marriage. He was previously married to his first wife, Dori Bridges, from 1998 to 2012. Bridges shares two children with Dori: son Spencir, 28, and daughter Bo, 29.
Hirschi also came into their marriage with children, four to be exact. Bridges is a stepfather to all four of them.
