Elizabeth Hurley is not letting a little bit of drama get in the way of her love for Billy Ray Cyrus.
Former wife Firerose has gone to social media, calling out Cyrus as an abusive jerk. However, Hurley is not letting the digs get to their relationship, which seems to be full of romance, though it has caused some friction with her child.
Ex-Wife Speaking Out
Firerose was only married to Billy Ray Cyrus for seven months. The pair met when Firerose was 22 years old, and he was 26 years older than her, on the set of Hannah Montana.
Cyrus filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct. The marriage was smudged with allegations of fraud and contention.
Firerose, real name Johanna Hodges, flew to social media in the wake of Cyrus’s new romance, claiming he was a selfish, cruel lout during their marriage.
She added that Cyrus supposedly made light of her double mastectomy due to high cancer risks, stating in a video that: “This ain’t about your [cancer gene], this ain’t about your surgeries — this is about you being a f**king, selfish b**ch!”
Hurley Dispels the Rumors
However, Hurley isn’t letting the slams affect her relationship with Cyrus.
According to a source, “Liz has seen the worst of the worst when it comes to scandals and bad romances so she’s not worried at all. There are some of her friends who have had reservations about Billy and this latest drama doesn’t help. But she’s brushed off Firerose as trying [to capitalize on] Billy now that he’s back on the A-list.”
The source adds that Firerose’s “social media is all about narcissistic behavior, which is a very serious issue … there isn’t an A-lister who hasn’t been accused of narcissism. It’s comical that she thinks she knows more about men than Liz, [who has] dated the best and the worst, all with a smile on her face.”
“No one’s going to get in the way of her fun with Billy,” the source stated.
Hot and Heavy Romance
Cyrus and Hurley first met in 2022 in the film Christmas in Paradise as co-stars. A couple of years later, the pair reconnected in 2024 after Cyrus’s failed marriage to Firerose.
