It’s been a long four years for fans waiting for the next season of Euphoria. And if there wasn’t enough drama in the show, it seems like the cast is clashing as well.
During the Season 3 premiere, the rumored Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney feud has only grown after the two seemed to outright avoid each other.

The dynamic between the two cast members proved to many that they’ve been distancing themselves from one another. Allegedly, this was no shock to some of their colleagues.
“Euphoria bosses are all too aware that the pair do not get along. There were tensions way back… Their paths barely crossed during the making of Season 3,” an insider told The Sun. “During the press tour, any interactions between the pair are being kept to a minimum to avoid any awkward encounters on camera. There is a complete ban on journalists asking about tension between Zendaya and Sydney.”
Apparently, the tensions are due to Zendaya’s fiancé, Tom Holland. According to the source, “it was an open secret that Sydney had the hots for Tom and was flirty with him when he would come to set. That did not go down well with Zendaya. They have not really hung out socially since then.”
Zendaya has been with Holland since 2021, and while there hasn’t been any confirmation, many speculate the two have gotten married.
While Sweeney and Zandaya were once friendly, they’ve been noticeably separating over the years, with many noticing that Sweeney was missing from a Euphoria group photo that promoted the new season.
“There will be a sigh of relief when Euphoria is over, and they can go their separate ways,” the source continued. “But they both have decades left in Hollywood, and this rivalry will inevitably run and run.”
According to reports, Zendaya and Sweeney kept their distance, and Zendaya arrived later than the rest of the cast and didn’t post in any group photos. This has only fueled online rumors of a feud between the two.
While Tom Holland is a major source of the issue, their political differences, as Sweeney is a registered Republican, have only heightened their distaste for one another.
Sweeney has been a part of several controversies lately, with her most recent being her new lingerie brand. Her brand, which is labeled for “self-expression,” has received backlash for making lingerie for men instead of women.
But before that, Sweeney was part of a huge controversy from an American Eagle ad that promoted eugenics and the hypersexualization of women. And if that wasn’t enough to make you raise an eyebrow, Sweeney doubled down on her ad, saying it was always just “about the jeans.”
