Costco’s New Food Court Treat Will Be Your Next Obsession

Shopping at Costco can be hard work. Tackling the crowds and exploring hidden finds works up an appetite. That’s why stopping at the food court is always a must before heading home. But recently, customers have found something new on the menu.

Costco’s new food court treat has every shopper heading to their local warehouse. The company rarely makes changes to its menu, so when something new pops up, members notice.

But instead of another savory addition, members are spotting a delicious Double Chocolate Mint Sundae. The timing of the new treat is interesting, as McDonald’s just brought back its iconic Shamrock Shake.

The new addition joins the other standard ice cream sundae options. It’s about $0.50 more than the original offerings, though, sitting at $2.99, which is still a great price for a quick sweet treat.

So what can shoppers expect with Costco’s new food court treat? Each sundae offers a creamy mint soft serve in a stunning pale green shade, with ribbons of chocolate sauce swirled throughout, and a generous amount of chocolate cookie crumbles on top to finish it off. The toppings create a satisfying crunch to balance the creamy and luxurious ice cream, making it a refreshing spring item.

Members have already boasted about the dessert on social media, with one saying: “Mint ice cream layered with cookie crumbles and rich chocolate sauce all stacked up in that clear cup so you can see every swirl. The mint and chocolate combo is tasty, refreshing, and extra chocolately in the best way.”

The new dessert started to appear in warehouses around February 16, according to reports, with most sightings at Las Vegas and San Francisco locations. Thankfully, with how little Costco makes changes to their food court section, we’re hoping to see it stay on the menu for a long time, not just as a seasonal item.
