Lily Allen is bringing the paperwork proof to her latest performance at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
She kicked off her “West End Girl” tour with a splash, featuring a series of costumes that call back to her breakup with actor David Harbour.
Giant Receipts
Allen’s latest tour is based on the 2024 album of the same name. Each song tells a piece of the breakdown and dissolution of her marriage to David Harbour.
At Track 8, “4chanStan,” Allen goes through her husband’s bedside drawer and finds a Bergdorf’s receipt for a luxury handbag, purchased when Allen wasn’t in town.
When she performed the song at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall in Scotland, the singer brought out a long piece of green fabric from beside a bed propped centerstage.
What was on the fabric? It was printed with giant receipts from tequila bars and Bergdorf Goodman.
Allen then wrapped the fabric around her body like a dress as she sang, “You bought her a handbag / It wasn’t cheap / I was in London / Probably asleep.”
This was just the beginning. Allen then walked over to a refrigerator on the side of the stage, pulling out another piece of long fabric, this one featuring handwritten song lyrics.
She wrapped that piece around her head while singing the chorus about “a sad, sad man.”
Allen and Harbour’s Breakup
Lily Allen and David Harbour separated in February 2025 after four years of marriage. Just eight months after the breakup, Allen came out with West End Girl, her first music album in seven years.
The content? A glimpse into the demise of the pair’s relationship.
During some of her lyrics, she claims her ex-husband was a “sex addict” who led a “double life” and “went astray” during the marriage.
She told Interview, “I wrote this record in ten days in December and I feel very differently about the whole situation now. We all go through breakups and it’s always f—ing brutal.”
Harbour and Allen Moving On
Both Harbour and Allen have moved on from each other. Harbour has been spotted with several women, including model Morgan Cozzi.
Allen has confirmed Jonah Freud as her boyfriend in a recent Grazia UK interview. Freud is a London-based writer and artist, and the great-great-grandson of Sigmund Freud.
Other Outfits During Concert
Lily Allen didn’t just wear her ex-husband’s receipts during the concert. She went through six looks for the 45-minute set, each hinting at a chapter in the record’s narrative.
Mel Ottenberg styled the looks, writing on Instagram that Allen “got me out of tour styling retirement 20 years after I first styled her.”
For “Madeline,” Allen donned a sheer Valentino negligee with an Araks bra and underwear, complete with a Manito silk robe.
For “Beg For Me,” she wore a pink tweed Valentino skirt suit with an oversized black bow, then changed into a black leather bullet-bra bustier dress.
