Bella Hadid and her cowboy boyfriend, Adan Banuelos, have called it quits.
First announced on Entertainment Tonight, the couple broke up after more than two years together, ending the relationship at the close of 2025. Hadid and Banuelos “quietly split,” and as of now, the exact reasoning or timeline isn’t clear.
“On Again Off Again”
A source close to the pair claims they have been on-again, off-again, with a “tumultuous” relationship. The rocky road seemed to have started back in June 2025.
However, in October, Banuelos posted a sweet Instagram photo wishing Hadid a happy anniversary, saying, “Even with all the chaos and ugliness, He gave us something pure and beautiful. Love you, baby. I’ll keep reminding you every day just how much.”
Later, in December, there were posts from Hadid attending one of Banuelos’s events, though none of the photos showed them together.
By the end of December, rumors were swirling again, this time it seems for good. Instead of spending the holidays with her beau, Hadid was with a group of friends in Aspen, without Banuelos.
The pair both seem to still be following each other on Instagram, but neither has publicly confirmed their relationship status.
Their First Meeting
Bella Hadid and Adan Banuelos met in early 2023 at a Texas horse show, not long after Hadid relocated there to focus on her health alongside her mother and stepfather. Hadid has been open for years about her struggles with chronic Lyme disease and “self-love issues,” taking this opportunity to ground herself.
In an interview with British Vogue, she explained, “I’m with my stepdad. We move cows, we’re on trail rides, and I’m starting to feel a little better, but just still dealing with my own stuff. Then, the next day, I meet my boyfriend.”
The pair met in an exhibit hall while Hadid was being fitted for a cowboy hat, claiming he was “like a gust of fresh air.” While Banuelos didn’t recognize the supermodel at first, for her, it was a match made in cowboy heaven. “He’s pretty gorgeous, let me tell you something.”
Banuelos isn’t just a pretty face, either. He is one of the most successful rodeo stars in recent years, being the youngest Mexican cowboy to be inducted into the National Cutting Horse Association Riders Hall of Fame.
Let’s not forget, Banuelos was smitten with Hadid, too. “This young lady is one of the kindest, biggest-hearted and sweet person I’ve [ever met],” he said in a past interview. “I mean I didn’t know God made ’em like that.”
After the pair started officially dating in the Fall of 2023, Hadid moved into his 5th-wheel trailer and bought a home in Texas.
How Hadid is Faring
An insider said, “Bella is doing her best to stay positive and distract herself since their split. She’s been staying busy with work and spending time with close friends. She is still processing the breakup since it was a very serious relationship.”
The split, though quiet, was quite out of the blue. So far, no reason for the split has been given.
