Elsie Hewitt claims she’s parenting solo after her breakup with Pete Davidson, but sources close to the comedian are singing a different tune.
The comments come after a couple of social media posts from Hewitt about the current parenting situation.

Hewiit shared a TikTok video on Saturday, calling out digs for her more casual appearance in paparazzi photographs.
She said, “That’s not what I’m thinking about right now, because I have a baby to take care of, and I also have to work and make money, and I’m doing it on my own, which is hard.”
In the comments section, Hewitt liked a response from a user who stated that “not staying with your partner” when they are postpartum is “insanely loser behavior.”
They added, “This is THE most vulnerable time in a woman’s life.”
It appears that Hewitt has since deleted the like.
Another wrote, “I hope you don’t mean you’re doing the financial part alone… that would be insane given the circumstances. You seem like a lovely person and a wonderful mother! We’re all rooting for you.”
In another deleted interaction, Hewitt commented, “I am :).”
Instagram Stories Post
That same day, Hewitt also posted on her Instagram Stories, searching for assistance with raising her child.
She wrote in a text over her face, “I’m currently trying to find an assistant/ mother’s helper/ nanny type/ basically [a] right hand person. Apply here if qualified & serious. Only looking @ responses with resumes.”
She added that the position would “of course” be paid.
Source’s Response

In response to Hewitt’s latest social media posts, a source close to Davidson shared with People, “Pete has made himself extremely available and has provided full financial support. Pete is actually covering all Scottie costs and more.”
They added, “He is hoping Else has good health and success for the sake of their daughter.”
Another insider exclusively told Page Six that “Pete has been paying for everything related to Elsie and Scottie,” including “the rent, their living expenses, their health insurance.”
They continued, “His main priority right now is making sure that Elsie and Scottie are looked after, so it’s utterly confusing to everyone who knows them why she would possibly post anything about him not supporting her. Obviously they have had personal disagreements and there has been a breakdown in the relationship but he is fully committed to being a good dad.”
The insider further stated that Hewitt’s insinuation that Davidson “is not providing for her” is “utterly false.”
“That’s not the reality at all,” they said. The “truth is he is actually paying for everything.”
They finished by saying, “Pete is doing everything to be super supportive to Elsie, he’s changed his schedule, and done everything he can to be there physically and financially so Elsie can feel supported.”
The Couple’s Split
Hewitt’s social media posts emerged just days after the couple split up on Friday, May 15th.
After the news broke, a source shared with People, “They’re not getting along right now. They were already struggling a bit while Elsie was pregnant. Things just happened so quickly between them, and they didn’t know each other very well.”
They added the couple was “trying to work through” how they will “be able to co-parent.”
The split was mainly due to Davidson being away a lot for work, while Elsie wanted him home after their daughter was born. Now, they are just focusing on the best possible situation for Scottie.
A source shared with Page Six that the former couple is “done” and has no interest in reconciling in the future.
The source continued, “There have been problems throughout their relationship and things are not good between them at all. They haven’t been for a while. They tried working things out but decided it was best to go their separate ways.”
