Andy Grammer and his wife Aijia, are expecting.
Baby number three is on the way for the singer, and they’ve confirmed it’s another girl.
Their pregnancy announcement was unlike others because they wrapped it into a funny and sweet rap video on Instagram.
Music Video Announcement
Grammer and Aijia announced the exciting news on Sunday, May 17th, on Instagram.
Shot by Dr. Clips, the video begins with Aijia showing off her baby bump while holding a Zofran pump (used to treat severe nausea during pregnancy).
When the pump makes a continuous noise, Aijia says, “Did I just break this Zofran pump?” before calling for her husband.
Appearing on camera, Grammer asks, “What?”
His wife replies, “We should sample this!”
“Let’s do it,” he replies, holding a microphone to the pump.
Then, Aijia starts rapping, saying, “Everything smells like rotten chicken, got a lot of clothes but nothing fittin’ / Got a lot to do but I just stay sittin’.”
She then details past pregnancies amid shots of pretending to vomit into a toilet and being in the hospital.
“Miss Barfy Barf, yeah you know me / Sick again, yeah three for three. I swore I wasn’t gon’ do it, last time would be the last time.”
The rapper continued, “I didn’t wanna go through it, knocked up is not a fun vibe / I’m sat sick here on the couch now, yeah I think I hate all men, but for a little girl, here we go again!”
The camera switches to the couple being joined by their two daughters, both donning animal masks.
The family then jumped up and down on a couch while chanting, “Here we go again!”
Grammer and Aijia captioned the post with, “We were trying to make music and accidentally made another girl! 😁💗.”
Celebrity Congrats
The post quickly drew lots of comments and likes, especially from fellow celebrities.
Dancer Derek Hough wrote, “Omg!!! This is incredible ! Congrats🎉🎊🍾.”
His wife, Hayley Erbert Hough, also added to the congratulations, penning, “This is the best announcement ever!! So excited for you guys!! 💛💛.”
Grammer’s Other Children
Andy Grammer and Aijia are parents to two daughters, Louisiana “Louie” K (8), and Israel “Izzy” Blue (6).
Louie was born via cesarean section in 2017, while Izzy was born via a home birth in 2020.
During her second pregnancy, Aijia struggled. She told People she was suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum. The pregnancy complication caused severe nausea, for which she used a Zofran pump during that time to help with the nausea.
