On the morning of May 22, 2026, Prince William of Wales appeared on the popular U.K. radio show, Heart Breakfast. Per People Magazine, the Prince requested they play the song “Opalite” for his two children–Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis–revealing that they are huge Taylor Swift fans.
After bringing up the upcoming wedding, Prince William was asked if he got an invite.
“No comment,” He said in reply. “I’m hoping and I’m sure there might be an invitation around but we’ll see.”
This family of Swifties is not new fans of the pop star’s music. The family was featured on Taylor Swift’s Instagram page when they attended her Eras Tour in 2024 on Prince William’s birthday. Posting a fun selfie with the royal family, Swift said, “Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start 🇬🇧🇺🇸🤝.”
While on Heart Breakfast, Prince William called the performance “amazing,” saying, “the atmosphere was so incredible, you could actually feel the floors shaking when they were all dancing, it was brilliant.”
About a year after meeting the royal family on her tour, the pop sensation’s NFL boyfriend, Travis Kelce, popped the question in August of 2025.
The couple announced their engagement through an Instagram post captioned, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨.” Fans were in awe of the scenic shots and upclose picture of Swift’s ring.
Though their fans have been anxiously waiting for an update, the couple has decided to keep the plans for their big day private. According to People Magazine, a source said, “It will definitely be a private affair and not a spectacle.”
Fans may not have the inside scoop on Taylor Swift’s wedding, but they still give nothing but support to the famous couple. Waiting for a marriage announcement, fans may also be waiting for Prince William and his family to appear in the wedding photos.
