Karl-Anthony Towns just checked off the biggest item on his to-do list — and now it’s time to get to work on the second one.

Fresh off leading the New York Knicks to their first NBA championship in 53 years, the star center is officially ready to shift his focus from the hardwood to the altar. Towns opened up about his wedding plans with fiancée Jordyn Woods, admitting he’d put the whole wedding on the back burner while he was laser-focused on winning a ring.
He told TMZ that he needs to start planning, and that the only thing he’d been planning this whole time was an NBA championship. And clearly, we can’t really argue with the results.
Towns made the comments during an appearance at Raising Cane’s in Times Square, where he traded in his jersey for an apron and served fans Box Combos and Chicken Finger Meals to celebrate the Knicks’ historic title run. Jordyn was right there alongside him for the celebration, which felt pretty fitting given how central she’d become to the team’s magical season. His message was simple: Part one is done, now it’s time to get to part two.
History
The couple has been together for over six years, going Instagram official back in September 2020 before Towns popped the question on Christmas Eve 2025 with a massive 15-carat emerald-cut diamond. Woods announced the news on Instagram on Christmas Day with a caption playing on the holiday, showing off a rooftop proposal against the New York City skyline.
Woods had already been getting into the wedding spirit as she celebrated her bachelorette trip to St. Barths back in March, posting beach photos and making it clear she was fully in bride mode. So while KAT was busy plotting a championship run, Jordyn clearly wasn’t just sitting around waiting.
And speaking of Jordyn’s role in all of this, she didn’t just support from the sidelines during the playoffs. She became something of a good luck charm for the entire franchise. Her orange citrus bag from her brand Woods by Jordyn went viral on TikTok after fans noticed the team kept winning every time she brought it to courtside. Woods herself said the hype didn’t really hit until she left the bag at home one game, the only game they lost, and suddenly everyone was a believer. Towns co-signed the whole thing, joking that the bag was undefeated and that New York owed her a thank you for the championship.
The Run
Between the ring, the bag, and the Larry O’Brien Trophy, it’s safe to say that it’s been quite a run for this couple.
Now the question is whether Towns can bring the same level of focus to wedding prep that he brought to the postseason. With the NBA season kicking back up in October and the Knicks already being talked about as repeat contenders, the window to lock down venues, dates, and guest lists is tighter than it might seem.
