Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker have settled their divorce after a four-month-long battle.
The split occurred after 11 years of marriage, and now just a few more documents need to be signed to make the divorce final.
Finalizing the Divorce
Burruss and Tucker settled on Wednesday, March 11th, according to documents filed in the Superior Court of Fulton County, Georgia.
Judge Alice Bneton ordered the exes to provide a “final judgment, parenting plan, child support addendum, child support worksheet, etc.” for the court’s review by March 20th.
Deciding to Split
Kandi Burruss announced the divorce proceedings on November 21st, 2025.
She told People in an exclusive statement, “After deep thought and a lot of prayer, I’ve made the decision to move forward with a divorce. This is a difficult and emotional time, but my focus remains on protecting my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect.”
She added, “I’m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family, and my own growth. I’m grateful to everyone who supported us throughout the years, and I ask for privacy, grace, and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family.”
During a later appearance on February 22nd, Burruss opened up more about her decision to split from Tucker on an episode of Watch What Happens Live.
She told host Andy Cohen, “It happened in July. In July was when I was like, ‘Oh, yeah. No, I can’t do this no more.”
Cohen asked her, “Was there a specific moment or thing that happened?”
Burruss replied, “Yeah, it was a specific situation that happened. I’m not talking about it on Watch What Happens.”
Custody Battle
During the court proceedings, there was some bad blood over custody.
Originally, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star asked for joint custody of their two kids, but changed it to sole custody after Tucker demanded primary custody. He claimed Burruss had been working in New York, while he cared for the kids in Georgia.
However, Burruss disputed his claims about being the primary caregiver. She further slammed him for living rent-free in her guest home.
Tucker responded that he was only living in the backhouse because Burruss kicked him out of the main home.
As of now, it’s not official what the custody plan is.
Current Situation
While some of the divorce conversations got “a little intense,” Burruss shared that the two are generally amicable.
“For the most part, even if we argue, we still try to be nice to each other,” she said. “We’re co-parenting. Last night, we went to my son’s basketball game. So, we were there sitting right next to each other. I’m sure people was like, ‘Uh…'”
She added, “But I feel like once we’re done with this, I really feel that we will be able to be great co-parents because our ultimate goal is to make sure that all of our kids are happy and that they don’t feel the brunt of our drama.”
