Meghan Trainor Cancels Entire Tour Months After Welcoming Daughter

Meghan Trainor has officially canceled her “Get In Girl” tour.

The singer claimed difficulties in balancing her work life and family life three months after the birth of her daughter, Mikey Moon.

Canceling the Tour

Meghan Trainor shared the news on Instagram Stories on Thursday, April 16th.

She wrote, “After a lot of reflection and some really tough conversations, I’ve made the difficult decision to cancel The Get In Girl Tour. Balancing the release of a new album, preparing for a nationwide tour, and welcoming our new baby girl to our growing family of five has just been more than I can take on right now, and I need to be home and present for each and all of them at this time.”

While Trainor shared that she understands fans will be disappointed, she stated, “this is the right decision for my family and me right now. I promise I’ll be back soon, and I can’t wait for you to hear this new record. I’m so proud of it, and I’m endlessly grateful for your love and support always.”

The “Get In Girl” Tour

Meghan Trainor officially announced the “Get In Girl” tour last November.

The tour was slated to start on June 12th in Clarkston, Michigan, and end at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum on August 15th. Other featured stops within the 30 total performances included New York City‘s Madison Square Garden and San Francisco’s Chase Center.

While Trainor claims family reasons for the cancellation, there may be another one at play, too. Some fans online have speculated that low ticket sales may be partly to blame, as maps for some of the concerts last month showed most seats still had not been purchased.

Trainor had shared some sneak peeks into preparing for the tour with People last November, sharing, “I’m going to do dance lessons. I’m going to be very fit.”

Talking more about the performance, she added, “We’re going to be jumping, dancing. It’s going to be a party, but it’s a party for everyone, for kids, for adults, for grandparents. I love when I see grandparents in the crowd. …when the dads sing every word. I go, ‘Yeah, Dad.’ It’s my favorite.”

Welcoming a Baby Girl

In January 2026, the Trainor family increased by one. Meghan and husband, Daryl Sabara, welcomed their third child via surrogate.

The pair shared the exciting news over social media, writing, “We are over the moon in love with this precious girl. Riley and Barry have been so excited, they even got to choose her middle name. We are going to enjoy our family time now, love you all.”

Following the birth of Mikey Moon, Trainor shared with People that she felt “surreal” and that having a daughter was something she had “dreamt about for so long.”

She added, “My heart feels fuller than I ever knew it could.”

New Album Release

Trainor has been pumping out albums left and right, and her next one is coming out soon. She recently dropped the track list for her seventh full-length album.

“Toy With Me” releases on Friday, April 24th.
