Carson Daly is laying out the menu for one dating requirement he has for his four kids.
Dating Dealbreakers

Daly opened up about his thoughts on dating dealbreakers while guest co-hosting Today with Jenna & Sheinelle on Monday.
The topic came up when Daly and co-host Jenna Bush Hager were discussing Kylie Kelce’s recent comments on her Not Gonna Lie podcast. The mother of four revealed that she would never let her girls date a Dallas Cowboys fan.
This prompted Bush Hager to ask Daly if he had any similar rules or reservations for his kids.
Daly said, “The only reservation I would have for my kids would be, like, a vegan or something like that maybe…”
Suddenly, a group of producers could be heard laughing off-camera loudly.
Daly covered his mouth with embarrassment and asked, “Is that bad to say? Am I gonna get canceled for that?”
Importance of Food
Bush Hager immediately asked for clarification on his comment. She was wondering if the comment was just because Daly wanted his kids’ prospective partners to be able to eat meat.
He laughed and replied, “Yeah, I mean, look at me!”
He continued, “Food is, like, a really important part of, like, the fabric of our family. If we didn’t have food, I wouldn’t talk to my wife about anything. It holds us together, so if one of them brought home a date who was super picky. Like, ‘I don’t eat anything — fish from the sea, cows that go moo.’ Like, I’ve got a Traeger [smoker], bro.”
Food Allergies
However, Daly’s disdain for picky eaters does not extend to people with food allergies. He explained his thoughts after Bush Hager questioned him about potential gluten allergies in future partners.
“That’s fine. Allergies, of course, I’m not the devil,” he shared, laughing.
“I don’t wish illness on the boyfriends… I’m just saying it would suck if they came into the house on Sunday and we were gonna do a big Daly feast of pizzas and they were like, ‘I can’t eat anything.’ I would just be like, ‘He’s a loser. Dump him.'”
While Bush Hager suggested Daly keep his thoughts to himself on his kids’ future dates, he couldn’t bring himself to agree.
“I don’t think I can hold it in… don’t let the door hit you on the butt on the way out.”
Daly’s Other Focus
Daly and his wife, Siri Pinter, share four children: Jackson (17), Etta (13), London (11), and Goldie (6).
Earlier in the broadcast, Daly shared his other focus on the horizon — his eldest son, Jackson, going to college next year.
He joked, “I’m looking for real estate around the university. Buddy, we’re gonna get a sick apartment here. I’m going to hang out. It’s gonna be great.”
Daly added, “In my mind, I’m going with him to college. The reality hasn’t hit yet.”
