Almond Butter Date Bars Ingredients
- 1 cup of almond butter
- 1 cup of pitted dates
- 1/2 cup of almond flour
- 1/4 cup of honey
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
Almond Butter Date Bars Instructions
- Heat the oven to 350°F.
- Line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leave extra hanging over the sides for easy lifting.
- In a food processor, blend the dates, almond butter, honey, and vanilla until smooth and fully combined.
- In a mixing bowl, stir together almond flour, baking powder, and salt until evenly mixed.
- Add the dry mix to the food processor.
- Pulse until a cohesive dough forms. If it looks too dry, add 1 tablespoon of water and pulse again.
- Press the dough into the prepared baking dishes across an even layer. Smooth the top with a spatula, or your finger.
- Bake for 20 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the center feels set.
- Cool completely in the pan.
- Refrigerate for 15 minutes once cooled for easier slicing.
- Lift out using the parchment and slice into 16 bars.
- Serve when needed.
