If you thought a regular celebrity wedding was a big deal, think again. It’s rumored that the setup alone is going to take days.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are reportedly planning a wedding. It’s apparently so massive that just building out the venue is expected to take several days. Additional days are needed just to tear it all back down. According to Page Six, sources say the whole operation is being described as an Eras Tour-level production. This honestly tracks perfectly for two people whose entire lives operate at that level.
The event has been under the direction of Los Angeles-based celebrity wedding planner Mark Seed. Seed has reportedly been working on it for months ahead of the rumored July 3 date. Seed is known for being so discreet that he’s renowned for never talking about his clients. This includes Jennifer Lawrence, whose 2019 wedding at the historic Belcourt of Newport he also orchestrated.
Madison Square Garden Is Reportedly the Venue

According to TMZ, the white-veil occasion will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3. Swift is famously a July 4th party person, so the timing makes total sense. The venue choice itself has raised more than a few eyebrows. Getting married in an arena isn’t exactly traditional, but for Taylor Swift, traditional was never really on the table.
Sources say it will likely take several days to build out the venue for a full-scale wedding, and multiple days afterward to take it all back down again. Tellingly, MSG has no events on its calendar from June 29 through July 6. A whole week blocked out at one of the most in-demand venues in the world? That’s not a coincidence.
The privacy angle is a huge part of why MSG makes sense. The Garden doesn’t have any windows in the arena but does have underground parking, which would provide security and privacy for the event and would also easily accommodate the reported estimate of 1,200 guests. The couple is reportedly focused on maintaining privacy for the event, even sending invites over text rather than mailing them out as a way to help with discretion. For two people who genuinely can’t grab coffee without a paparazzi swarm, that level of planning makes complete sense.
A Wedding Planner Who Can “Build Something Spectacular Out of Nothing”

One source described Seed’s abilities plainly: he can build something spectacular out of nothing. Which is a good thing, because with a 20,000-seat arena to potentially fill and dress up, there’s a lot of nothing to work with. As for catering, sources expect Swift, who is often a champion of small businesses and fiercely loyal to her second home of Nashville, is most likely to bring in caterers from that city rather than going with the usual suspects.
On the guest list side, things are shaping up to be exactly what you’d expect. Rumors indicate that a solid mix of A-list celebrities and Kansas City Chiefs teammates will be in attendance. Jason Kelce is clearly attending and standing beside his brother, Patrick, and Brittany Mahomes are allegedly on the list, and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has also reportedly made the cut.
A Date, a Venue, and a Lot of Moving Parts

The road to July 3 hasn’t been without its detours. Earlier speculation centered on Ocean House, a luxury hotel in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, near Swift’s mansion, with rumors swirling that the couple had originally eyed a June 13 date there, given that 13 is Swift’s lucky number. However, the couple decided to scrap those plans after word got out.
Swift herself has been characteristically coy about the whole thing. In an October 2025 appearance on The Graham Norton Show, she joked that Norton would know about the wedding because she’d be inviting him, along with everyone she’s ever hung out with. She explained that the only stressful weddings are the ones where people end up on the bubble, so she plans to keep the guest list generous. Between the multi-day venue setup, the A-list planner, the 1,200-person guest list, and the July 4th timing, this isn’t just any wedding. It’s an event.
