Let’s get down to it, cooking from the freezer isn’t cheating, it’s optimizing. I keep a couple of these on hand for the nights when my schedule is back-to-back. They offer a no stress, no fuss solution, and I’ll be honest, that’s sometimes the priority.

When shopping for freezer foods, Costco’s freezer aisle is a big win. Big packs that feed a hungry crowd at steady, predictable prices. Seven standouts cover some top options, including pasta, noodles, dumplings, pizza, pierogi, and more.

According to Costco, most of their trays and bags serve families of four to six, with cook times that run from three minutes in the microwave to under an hour in the oven. That hits the two things weeknights demand, speed and portions.

Here’s the thing, you can pair a frozen main with bagged salad or garlic bread, then call it done. Simple sides make these Costco freezer meals pop, without adding workload.

These are my go-to favorites.

Kirkland Signature Italian Sausage & Beef Lasagna

$16.99–$17.99 for two 3-lb trays | Available at warehouses and through Costco Business Delivery

Layers of Italian sausage, ground beef, whole-milk ricotta, mozzarella, and vine-ripened tomatoes taste like Sunday dinner on a weeknight. Oven ready in about 55 minutes or microwave in about 30. Each tray serves six, so depending on how hungry your family are, leftovers might be likely. According to Costco, this is a member favorite for its generous portion and dependable flavor.

Ajinomoto Vegetable Yakisoba

$15.99–$16.99 for six 9-oz packs | Costco Same-Day

This dish can be done via the microwave in minutes, give it a quick stir, and you’ve got springy noodles, broccoli, edamame, snap peas, shiitake mushrooms, and water chestnuts in a savory, umami sauce. For cold nights, or after a few days of unhealthy takeaways, this veggie-heavy meal is perfect. This freezer option comes with pre-seasoned noodles so you can eat as is or you can do it like we do, and add some shredded rotisserie chicken to make it a more filling meal.

Rana Beef & Short Rib Lasagna

$15.99 for a 42-oz tray | Costco Same-Day

I appreciate the short rib here, because it gives a richer bite than standard ground beef. It can be microwaved in around 12-15 minutes, but I prefer to bake for those delicious crunchy and browned edges. With 20 grams of protein per serving and no preservatives, it feels like the “upgrade” over most frozen lasagne options. If you’re after fresh-tasting pasta with premium meat and creamy ricotta and mozzarella, this lasagna is a big win. If you have a smaller household, the portion size might even be enough for two nights.

Bibigo Beef Bulgogi Mandu

$11.89–$12.49 for a 3-lb bag (about 36 dumplings) | Warehouse item

Another favorite in my house, there’s something delicious about those extra-large dumplings stuffed with bulgogi-seasoned beef, packed with smoky, soy-garlic depth that amazingly can be done in minutes. Pan-fry for crisp bottoms, air-fry for an even crunch, or boil for soup. Add some soy for dipping and chopped scallions and the quantity of dumplings make it a quick delicious meal

Kasia’s Potato & Cheese Pierogi

$10.99–$11.99 for three 14-oz packs | Costco Business Delivery

Who doesn’t love a pierogi? Filled with Idaho potatoes, baker’s cheese, and minced onion. A combination that hits that comfort food spot. All you need to do is cook with butter in a skillet for 6 to 8 minutes, or boil and toss with a dollop of sour cream. Kasia’s website notes that these are sold refrigerated, but they freeze cleanly for long storage, which makes them an easy back-up plan.

Kirkland Signature Thin Crust Pepperoni Pizza

$16.99 for four 19.05-oz pizzas | Costco Business Delivery

The value for money with these thin crust pizzas is off-the-charts. You get four individually wrapped pies, double-layered pepperoni, mozzarella and white cheddar, and a thin, crisping crust that bakes in 12 to 15 minutes at 425°F straight from frozen. Costco Business Delivery notes the per-pizza cost is roughly $4.25, which undercuts most competitors, and the quality is good. Quickly add some salad for a meal.

Sukhi’s Butter Chicken Bowls

Refrigerated, often frozen by members | $14.99–$17.40 for three 11-oz bowls |  Costco Same-Day

Butter chicken is the most delicious Indian cuisine. It’s tender chicken in a creamy tomato butter sauce over turmeric rice, microwave-ready in about three minutes. These bowls are gluten-free and halal-friendly. Each combines a clean spice blend that packs flavor while covering the essential needed from frozen foods, weekday speed. Keep a box for your personal “I need five minutes” nights.

The per-serving math matters when you’re putting food on the table. The lasagnas clock in at a few dollars per person, the pizzas at roughly four, and the dumplings and pierogi even less when you portion by ounce. Costco’s product pages outline sizes and counts, which helps you compare apples to apples before you buy. This is why Costco is a top way to buy in bulk frozen foods.

One more thought from my finance background. Predictable freezer meals can protect your budget during busy weeks since they can replace takeout and reduce impulse spending.

How to build a faster plate

The value in frozen foods is the power to get food cooked without the fuss. It’s easy to build a faster plate, start with one anchor, like the pizza, and then add something fresh. A bagged Caesar next to lasagna. Steamed broccoli with the yakisoba. A quick cucumber salad beside the mandu.

One Costco Same-Day browse shows how easily these pair with pantry staples like frozen garlic bread or prewashed greens, so you can round out nutrition without extra cooking time.

When price meets peace of mind

Short cook times, big portions, and reliable taste. Those are the anchors. Most are ready in under 45 minutes, many feed big numbers in one go, and all come in at a better price than typical take out delivery. Costco’s listings are consistent on prep and portion details, which keeps weeknights calm for those of us running around multitasking. Dress them up with simple sides and you’re done. It’s dinner, done well.
