Bob’s Burgers Actor Eugene Mirman Hospitalized After Fiery Car Crash

After being pulled from a fiery crash in New Hampshire on Tuesday, Bob’s Burgers actor Eugene Mirman has been hospitalized with serious injuries.

Mirman, who voices Gene Belcher in the Fox animated sitcom was driving on the F.E. Everett Turnpike when he crashed his 2026 Lucid Gravity into the Bedford Toll Plaza, according to a press release from the New Hampshire police.

According to the report, “911 callers indicated the vehicle caught fire, and someone in the vehicle appeared to be trapped.”

The report continued, saying a veteran State Trooper alongside New Hampshire Gov. Kelly Ayotte, “came upon the crash, saw that the vehicle was actively on fire, and observed the driver was still inside. The driver was then pulled from the burning car through a window and brought to safety.” Mirman was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

Ayotte shared a statement on X, saying she wants to “thank the Trooper on my security detail and the bystanders who stepped up to help at the scene of the crash for their brave lifesaving efforts today.”

Colonel Mark B. Hall also issued a statement, saying, “Certainly, their actions were heroic in what they did. Without hesitation, they put themselves in danger to render aid to someone who was in need of it.”

A representative for Mirman gave a statement to Variety, saying, “Eugene was in a very scary car accident. He wants to thank the bystanders, state police, first responders, and hospital staff who saved him. He is grateful to be on the mend. At this time, we kindly ask for privacy for Eugene and his family as he focuses on recovering from his injuries.”

No charges have been filed, but it is under investigation.
