Sushi isn’t our personal favorite. There’s something about room temperature uncooked fish that doesn’t sit well with us:

However, lots of people have friends and family who love Japanese cuisine, especially sushi. So, these Fresh Fruit Sushi recipes are the perfect middle-ground for those who don’t want to serve fish.

Plus, the variety of flavor combinations fruit offers is amazing. And if it is fresh, there’s very little produce that’s as juicy or as tasty as fruit.

  6. Set out your bamboo rolling mat and line with wax paper.
  7. Spread your rice mix across the wax paper, creating a thin layer no thicker than 1/5 of an inch.
  8. Line up a fresh fruit combo at the bottom of the rice layer (as seen in the video) and roll.
  9. Depending on the fruit you have chosen, you can decorate the rolled-up sushi (as seen in the video).
  10. Once decorated, cut the roll into pieces for serving.
  11. Repeat steps 7 to 10 for more sushi, or continue for Nigiri:
  12. Take a small handful of rice and roll it into an oval that’s roughly 2 inches in size.
  13. Place it on the serving tray and top with fresh fruit.
  14. Finally, make a sauce by blending left-over fruit and adding splashes of water to get a nice consistency for dipping.
  15. Serve fresh.
