Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden are expanding their family.
The couple happily announced baby number three has arrived.
Birth Announcement
Benji Madden shared the exciting news on Instagram on Monday, May 4th. The image featured a pirate ship with the name “Nautas Madden” underneath.
Madden wrote, “Cameron and I are happy, excited, and feeling so BLESSED to announce the birth of our third child, Nautas Madden. Welcome to the world, son!! 👊❤️”
He added, “We love life with our family- our kids are healthy & happy, and we are grateful!!! 🙏🙏 Having a blast ❤️ Sending all our best wishes — the Madden Family ❤️🙏👊🏴☠️”
Diaz commented on her husband’s post with several red heart emojis.
After the main photo, others included a playing card, a cardinal, a plant, and another playing card.
The first playing card explained Nautas’ name, which means “sailor, navigator, voyager, one who embarks on a journey and fears not the unknown.”
The other playing card said, “Every great legend begins with a single voyage. Chart your own course. Keep your compass true. The world is yours.”
Having a Family
Diaz and Madden are also parents to daughter Raddix Wildflower Madden (6) and son Cardinal Madden (2). They are notoriously private with their children, with no pictures online or discussing them in interviews.
When they revealed Raddix’s birth, the couple wrote, “While we are overjoyed … we also feel a strong instinct to protect our little one’s privacy. We won’t be posting pictures or sharing more details, other than the fact that she is really really cute!! Some would say RAD.”
They had a similar post four years later when Cardinal was born, just telling their fans he was “really cute,” too.
After his birth, a source shared with People that Diaz and Madden felt “beyond lucky.”
“They were always hoping for a second baby because they love being parents. For years, Cameron wanted to be a mom,” the insider said.
“She gets very emotional when she talks about the long journey to motherhood. She feels beyond lucky to now have two children.”
Motherhood

While Diaz is pretty close-lipped about her children, she happily talks about motherhood and the decision to have kids later in life.
During a March 2022 interview with BBC Radio 2, she shared, “The women who have children my age are like, literally 20 years younger and that’s an interesting place to be because I’m not that age. And that’s totally OK. But I want to feel vital like that for my child.”
In a 2020 interview with Naomi Campbell, she further elaborated on her age, making a joke that she planned to live well past 100 to be there for her children.
“When you’re my age and you decide to do it, it’s a real choice,” she said. “You really have to work hard for it. The only pressure for me is like I have to live to be, like 107, you know? So no pressure!”
