Looking for something new to try in the kitchen? Cast iron skillet recipes are the best because they are made in one pan and have the easiest cleanup. These cast iron skillet recipes are simple, easy, and so delicious. Here are 5 of my favorites.Â
5. Cookie Skillet
The cookie skillet is a massive crowd pleaser. These are great as is and even better with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream. You can make a cookie skillet by simply using your favorite cookie dough recipe and pressing into a greased cast iron. Then bake the skillet for 20-25 minutes and you are done. This cast iron skillet recipe is so easy and everyone will love it.
4. Pizza
Making pizza in cast iron is one of my favorite ways to make it. The cast iron imitates the pizza stone because it can get really hot. To make this recipe spread olive oil onto your cast iron and begin to prep your pizza dough. I like to spread my pizza dough out on a surface that has a bit of semolina flour on it. The semolina flour gives the bottom of the pizza a great crunch.
Once your dough is about the size of the bottom of your skillet place the dough inside and stretch to the edges. Then put on whatever toppings you want. I typically make this cast iron skillet recipe with some marinara sauce on the bottom, a sprinkle of cheese, and some oregano. This is for a pretty basic plain cheese pizza, but there are so many ways to level this up. I’ve done this cast iron skillet recipe with pesto as my pizza base and then ricotta and mozzarella (this one was so good). I’ve also done white pizza, Margherita, and even Grandma. The options for this cast iron skillet recipe are endless.
Once you have your pizza all loaded up place it carefully into a 450 degree oven until the crust is just golden, about 10 minutes.

Dutch babies are one of my favorite breakfast items and also it is a super simple cast iron skillet recipe. Combine 3 eggs, ½ cup of flour, ½ cup of milk, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and a pinch of nutmeg in a bowl. While you dol this melt 4 tablespoons of butter in your cast iron skillet in a 350 degree oven. Pour batter into the skillet once the butter is melted and bake for 20 minutes. Then reduce the oven temperature to 300 degrees and bake for 5 more minutes. Cut the Dutch baby into wedges and dust with powdered sugar.

2. Lemon Chicken
This cast iron skillet recipe for lemon chicken is a staple for me. It is incredibly easy and so delicious. To make this cast iron skillet recipe, start by marinating your chicken. In a large ziplock bag combine 4 cloves of minced garlic, ½ cup of olive oil, 3 tablespoons dry white wine, 1-2 lemons sliced into thin rounds, 1 teaspoon sage, 1 teaspoon thyme, 1 teaspoon rosemary, salt, pepper, and 2 lbs of thinly sliced chicken breast. Once in the sealed ziplock massage the marinade into the chicken and place in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
Once you are ready to cook your chicken heat about 1 tablespoon of olive oil into your cast iron skillet over medium heat. Place all of your chicken breasts into the cast iron and pour the marinade on top. Doing this allows for the chicken to continue to soak up all the flavor. Cook the chicken for about 3 minutes on each side and serve. I love this cast iron skillet recipe because it is so easy and produces a delicious result.
1. Quiche
Who doesn’t love quiche? This cast iron skillet recipe for crustless quince is so simple and tasty. Simply beat 6 eggs into a bowl with ¼ cup of milk and add whatever mix ins you want. I like to do this with some chopped tomatoes, mushrooms, and feta cheese, but you can add whatever you want.
Once you have your mixture pour it into a greased cast iron and pop it into a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. Once done, take it out of the oven and serve this easy cast iron quiche in slices.
My biggest tip for using cast iron skillets is DO NOT USE SOAP TO CLEAN. When it comes to washing a cast iron skillet you simply want to rinse it completely with water so that there are no remnants of the last thing you cooked and then brush with a little bit of olive oil.
