In feng shui it helps when a bedroom doesn't have any clutter.

Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese art that claims to arrange buildings, objects, and space in an environment to achieve harmony and balance. You might be wondering why a Feng Shui bedroom would matter, it’s because the bedroom is a place of rest, romance, and relaxation. We should use Feng Shui to its utmost potential since we spend eight hours of the day in this space.

There are so many things you can do to help Feng Shui in your bedroom to achieve harmony and balance. These tips are a good way to learn how to incorporate Feng Shui into your home. Some tips are easier to do than others, but sometimes you have to start small, and the bedroom is the best place to start.

The 7 pro tips that are listed are just a few ways that help you add Feng Shui into the bedroom.

1. Technology

Leave the technology outside of the bedroom. We spend so much time hunching over a screen, we don’t need it in the bedroom. Remove all TV, electronics, and phones and keep them elsewhere in the house, so they do not produce negative energy around you. A bedroom is a place for peace, and when you have your phone, it’s not always peaceful as it may seem.

2. Clutter Under the Bed

Having things under the bed can cause unnecessary stress and headaches. Clutter under the bed only stops the positive energy from circulating around freely. A clean and clear bedroom will help with uncluttered thinking. The bedroom is a safe space to help relax and be stress-free.

3. Work Life Separate

If you have an office space, try to use a different location other than the bedroom for it. Having your bed and work desk next to each other makes it harder to wind down after a long day. If you truly have no choice, try to create a separation between the two: a bookshelf, folding screen, or a curtain. You can even try putting a sheet over the workspace so it’s still separate from the bed.

4. Friendly Colors

You don’t want to overstimulate the energy with such bright colors on the wall. Try sticking with natural colors like beige, cream colors, and earth tones. They are soothing colors that help balance the room. Keep the vibrant colors for artwork, crystals, and bedsheets.

5. Symmetry

Putting nightstands on either side of the bed gives the room a balanced look. It’s good for adults who are in a relationship because, that way, both partners have their own space. Not all bedrooms have space for nightstands, and that is perfectly okay. You can balance the room with two same-sized pictures on the wall. It’s all about balance. As you walk into a room with everything symmetrical, you can feel how balanced it is.

6. Natural Light

It is well known that natural light can influence serotonin levels, which will affect the mood for the day. I would suggest, before going to bed, opening the curtains a little to let the light in. If you have blinds, I would suggest, opening them just enough to let the light in, but not enough to where you can see through completely.

7. Air Purifier

Having good Feng Shui is being able to have the air in the room not be stale and full of pollutants. An air purifier helps keep the bedroom fresh and full of oxygen. You can use essential oils to help purify the room, but, make sure that it’s actually essential oils that contain healing properties and not fragrance oils that contain mostly toxics.
