Amanda Batula Slammed West Wilson for Disrespecting Ciara Miller on Summer House

Before they confirmed their relationship, Amanda Batula slammed West Wilson for disrespecting Ciara Miller on Summer House on Tuesday’s episode.

If you haven’t heard, Summer House is a Bravo reality TV series about a group of young adults who party together at a weekend share house in the Hamptons. The show premiered back in 2018, and its tenth season is currently airing.

And in the latest episode, which was filmed back in August, it was revealed that Batula was having a hard time dealing with how Wilson dealt with his past relationship. “What upset me the most was you’ve been such a good friend to me all summer long. Like, it bothers you when you see Kyle disrespect me.”

Batula continued, “For someone who’s been so supportive of me and looking out for me and standing up for me, to watch you disrespect Ciara in that way, it just puts this weird dynamic in place.”

Wilson agreed with his now-girlfriend, saying he was an “idiot” for how he handled the aftermath of his split with Ciara Miller. Batula urged Wilson to “take accountability” and “apologize” to Miller, her best friend, which he did in an emotional sit-down later that episode.

Batula and Wilson’s romance was a bombshell that caused a lot of drama in the group. Batula is best friends with Ciara Miller, Wilson’s ex-girlfriend. Wilson is good friends with Batula’s estranged husband of four years, Kyle Cook. That being said, their confirmed relationship has been rocky, to say the least.

Ciara Miller has even spoken about the incident during an interview with Glamour on April 17. In the interview, Miller retold the turbulent events as well as her support of Batula the entire time, saying she “fought with your own husband to advocate for you. I have championed you. I have tried to be there in different ways for you and help you and get you to see your value in yourself,” Miller told the outlet. “And so to be disregarded in such a disrespectful way is… Honestly, it’s… I’m at a loss for words sometimes.”

According to Miller, she had “less than 24 hours” notice before Batula and Wilson’s matching Instagram stories that shared the news, which read: “We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care… We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless.”

Since then, there have been some awkward moments throughout Summer House, including an awkward apology between Miller and Wilson. Even still, Miller says she’s grateful for the journey of being on reality television.

“I feel like I’ve met my greatest friends from reality TV. And it’s truly taught me so much about myself and who I am and what I can endure. It’s made me change in the best of ways.”
