Everyone knows I love discovering new wines…and new grapes …and new stories.
So I went back to Zachys wine shop in Scarsdale, NY, to do just that. I met up with Andrew McMurray, VP at Zachys, to do a post-game wrap up of the Great Wines of Italy event that they hosted with JamesSuckling.com. We wanted to talk about the under-the-radar wines that were at the event that night that knocked our socks off.
And because there really is a God, there was a counter full of wines waiting for me when I got to the store. So listen below, as we tasted through them and Andrew told all their back stories. Fun stuff.

And I wanted to shout out to the Pietranera Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2010. It’s not often you come across a 2010 Brunello Riserva — which you know by now are all off-the-hook amazing — for $70. They usually start at $120. Just saying.
